2016 下半年台灣民政府國際發展行程
July 1: Begin production of background information to provide to embassies to include a custom designed pocket folder, biographies of Dr. Lin and other key TCG personnel, stat sheets, talking points, the op-ed, and historical background. We will also create a power point presentation based on the folder and its contents and draft a letter of introduction and meeting request.
August 1: Submit hard copies of the letter and meeting request to GVC embassy contacts followed by email correspondence and submission of background materials upon request by embassies.
September 1: Begin follow-up, in earnest, after the summer holiday. Many embassy personnel take the month of August off. Begin to establish meeting dates.
October 1 – November 30: Hold introductory meetings and/or establish a meeting calendar for the TCG delegation to attend. Hold the meetings and/or hold an elegant dinner or lunch for representatives of all G-7 nations. At this event, we would present the background on TCG and its mission and hold a roundtable conversation on the future of Taiwan. We will need to determine the right combination of meetings here to accommodate your needs and the logistical challenge or coordinating with the embassies.
Dec. 1: Follow up with each embassy with a thank you letter and additional information as needed. We may consider sending a holiday gift to round out the campaign.
