WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO：

1. Title

Recognize Japanese Emperor's title over the Senkaku Islands so as to avoid a war between China and Japan

2. Description

The Senkaku Islands geographically appertaining to Taiwan were ceded concomitantly with Taiwan to the Emperor of Japan as per Treaty of Shimonoseki. China refuses to recognize Japan's territorial claim in January 1895 but admits Japan acquired formal title in May 1895.

The terms of the Cairo Declaration nullified due to Chinese intervention in Korean war were unable to be carried out.

The Peace Treaty concluded between Allied Powers and Japanese Government is not concerned with Japanese Emperor's title over any integral part of Japan including the connected islands of Senkaku and Taiwan.

It is improper for US Government to veil the legal status of Senkaku Islands by taking no position on ultimate sovereignty, leaving room for a territorial dispute between China and Japan.

承認尖閣諸島歸屬日本天皇，避免中國和日本發生戰爭。

2. 提案說明

地理上，台灣附屬島嶼之尖閣諸島，是依下關條約（馬關條約）附隨台灣島，永遠讓與日本天皇。中國拒絕承認日本1895年1月14日依照國際法宣有主權，可是，承認日本天皇1895年5月取得尖閣諸島主權。

開羅宣言之約定，因為中國介入韓戰，所以約定失效，導致不能實現。

盟軍與日本政府簽署和平條約，無涉日本天皇之任何日本國土之所有權，包括台灣、還有相連接之尖閣諸島等。

美國政府對尖閣諸島最終主權，不持立場，遮掩其法理地位，讓中國和日本有領土爭議的空間，是不妥當的。
